The Dating Blueprint
Introduction
This is a full guide to dating.
What it does.
This guide will walk you through the dating process step-by-step, boundary-by-boundary, and question-by-question.
The purpose.
The purpose of this blueprint is to equip you with a dating strategy that will optimally protect you and your dating prospect physically, emotionally, spiritually, and financially.
Summary
There are four phases involved in the dating process:
- Preparation Phase: Before you start looking for prospects.
- Phone Phase: Before you start dating a prospect in-person.
- Serious Phase: From the time you begin in-person dating up to a marriage proposal.
- Engagement Phase: From the time you accept a marriage proposal until legal marriage.
Each phase has a separate blog post. Use the links above or below to go to the desired section.
The 'Overview' section below will summarize each phase.
Overview
Preparation Phase
Purpose
Before you start looking for prospects to date, you need to prepare to date.
Goals
The goal of the Preparation Phase is to make sure you are fully prepared for everything dating involves including unapologetically setting boundaries and standing by them, being somebody worth dating, getting rejected, and more.
Time Frame
The Preparation Phase should last as long as you need.
Phase Rules
This section will cover important rules and tips to follow during this phase primarily for safety.
Prospect Quantity
During the Preparation Phase, you are not communicating with any prospects, therefore you don't need to worry about how many prospects you should be communicating with.
Phone Phase
Purpose
Before you date in person, you will set your nonnegotiable boundaries and ask vital questions over the phone via text messaging systems that keep the messages (no SnapChat or similar system that auto-deletes messages).
Goals
The goal of the Phone Phase is to make sure a prospect is compatible with your boundaries and vital questions before dating in person to avoid becoming emotionally attached to somebody you are not compatible with, which can lead to dropping your boundaries, which itself can lead to emotional abuse and manipulation later on in the relationship. The Phone Phase aims to protect you and your prospect physically, spiritually, emotionally, and financially.
Time Frame
The Phone Phase will last until all boundaries are set and all vital questions are asked and answered by the prospect. After those criteria are met and the prospect is compatible with your boundaries and questions, move on to the next phase (Serious Phase).
Phase Rules
This section will cover important rules and tips to follow during this phase primarily for safety.
Prospect Quantity
During the Phone Phase, it is recommended to talk to as many people as possible because most prospects probably won't make it to the Serious Phase (next phase). If you set the boundary of no physical romantic contact until marriage with every prospects, you can date multiple prospects at the same time without issue, just let each prospect know that is what you will do (both of these boundaries are set in the Phone Phase).
Serious Phase
Purpose
After boundaries are set and vital questions are asked, in-person dating can begin. This phase will end with a marriage proposal.
Goals
The goal of the Serious Phase is to make sure what they told you in the Phone Phase is true and they aren't faking their character. Make sure they don't push boundaries. Make sure they answered the questions truthfully. Vet their character. Vet their friends. Vet their family.
Time Frame
It's recommended to carry this phase out for at least 6 months up to 1 year to weed out anybody faking their character.
Phase Rules
This section will cover important rules and tips to follow during this phase primarily for safety.
Prospect Quantity
During the Serious Phase, you should date everybody who makes it to this phase. If you set the boundary of no physical romantic contact until marriage with every prospects, you can date multiple prospects at the same time without issue, just let each prospect know that is what you will do (both of these boundaries are set in the Phone Phase).
Engagement Phase
Purpose
After the Serious Phase, if you or the other prospect proposes marriage and you say yes, you enter the engagement phase.
Goals
Make sure they don't slip up in their character. Plan the wedding and honeymoon.
Time Frame
6 months to 1 year.
Phase Rules
This section will cover important rules and tips to follow during this phase primarily for safety.
Prospect Quantity
Once engaged, all other prospects should be completely dropped. After marriage, delete their numbers, but hold onto them until then (in case your fiance gets cold feet or something).
